Abstract Submission Guidelines

We invite you to submit an abstract for presentation at the 29th American Peptide Symposium and 15th International Peptide Symposium.

We will begin accepting abstracts on November 1, 2024.

Important Dates

Oral Abstract Submission Deadline: January 31, 2025
Travel Award Applications Due – Students and Postdocs: February 15, 2025
Notifications Emailed to Lead Author: March 1, 2025
Late Breaking Poster Submission Deadline: May 1, 2025

Note: Abstracts submitted after January 31, 2025 will not be considered for oral presentations, only poster presentations.

Length: The body of the abstract should be approximately 250 words, about half a page of text.

File Format: PDF only, may include up to one image.

Submission Types

When completing the submission form, you will be given the following options:

Oral Presentation Preferred

If not accepted for an oral presentation, your abstract will be considered for inclusion in the program as a poster.

Oral Presentation Only

If not accepted for an oral presentation, you do not wish to be included in the program as a poster.

Poster with Consideration to Present at the YI Symposium (trainees only)

You are interested in presenting a poster, and would like to be considered for a flash talk presentation during the Young Investigator Symposium being held Sunday afternoon, June 15th.

Poster Only

You would like to be considered for a poster presentation only.

Young Investigator Poster Competition

Dr. Alexander Lund-Nielsen - 2023 Young Investigator Winner

In addition to choosing one of the above submission options, young investigators may elect to enter the Young Investigator Poster Competition with monetary prizes given to the winners.

Young Investigators are defined as undergraduates, graduates and post docs.

Young Investigators who are chosen to present orally will automatically be entered into the ESCOM Science Foundation Oral Presentation Competition. Three winners will receive monetary prizes.

ESCOM Science Foundation, founded by Dr. Bert L. Schram and Mrs. Dr. Elizabeth A. Schram, has kindly sponsored three awards to be given to the top three outstanding oral presentations given by young investigators. In addition, the Foundation also sponsors the Schram Young Scientists Lunch and Mixer. The American Peptide Society acknowledges this generous contribution, which supports the development and promotion of young aspiring researchers in peptide science.
